7 Months Old

Happy 7 Months James!
Our little birthday trip to the park

A Few Random Pics
A little glimpse into our day-to-day

Phew, it's been a while since I've posted. Sorry about that. The weather here has been beyond beautiful (70's and sunny-very rare for England!) so we've been spending our time outside and in the parks. For the past few days James and I have been taking little day trips to Wollaton Park. It's about a half's hour walk away if we cut through the University grounds and totally worth the walk once we get there. It's like stepping into a secret garden. There's a huge and very tall, walled- gate made of stones next to an extremely busy road and once you step through through it's like you're in a serene different world. The park is actually an estate of a huge mansion called Wollaton Hall and it has a golf course in the middle of it where deer just sit next to the golfers and watch them play. Wollaton Park is definitely one of my other favorite places in England.

Other than the lazy days in the park.... James and I haven't done much else. I've got so many things to get sorted and things to pack, but it seems so far away that I just don't have the motivation yet. I'm sure it'll be a whirlwind process once I finally get around to it! So many people to visit with so little time, these next few weeks are going to go very quickly. Then it's summertime in Minnesota!

We are back from London and ready to show off some pictures! Kev's interview wentfabulously on Thursday morning and he should have a visa within the month! Woooooooo! We have made it through the last step of this 18 month journey and the finish line is within sight. It's a truly incredible feeling. Only 6 weeks until we're back in Minnesota. I have a feeling it is going to go very quickly! Now on to the pictures!

28 Weeks Young

A Few 6 1/2 Months Pictures

[Oooh whatcha got there?]
[blowing raspberries]
[having a good nakey laugh]
[mum is bored again...]
[my new all-time favorite picture]

James had his first attempt at crawling over the weekend! Not the traditional hands and knees crawling.... but he's starting to get around that's for sure. He sort of does this army-crawl, elbow over elbow thing. You can tell he's getting really frustrated that he can't move around very quickly, but I'm sure we'll have to keep on eye on him as he just seems to develop skills over night!

Our weekend in Ruskington was another great one. Plenty of R&R time, family time and eating time. Omg, the food that Owen makes is out of this world. Always. Amazing. James was feeling a little sensitive over the weekend and was getting a bit clingy and was crying whenever he couldn't see me. Looks like we're hitting that separation-anxiety stage that I've heard so much about. Should be a fun few months if I try to go anywhere.... He also had a great time watching his 3 year old cousin, Poppy, run around. I'm sure they'll be best friends on either side of the Atlantic when they're older.

Really looking forward to spending Thursday and Friday down in London! We've got the London Zoo on Thursday and The Natural History Museum on Friday. Woo, can't wait!

Well, that's all for now. Will update when we get home from London.
Love to you all.
